Considered to be one of the more rare Indonesian coffees, Kalossi characteristically has a taste similar to that of Sumatra coffee, but with a better body. Containing more acidity than the Sumatra, Kalossi also has a very pleasant, earthy overtone. Celebes produces only around 70,000 bags of coffee each year at elevations of 2,500 to 3,500 feet using the dry process method with sun drying on earth patios. Graded by bean size from 1 to 4, with 1 being the best quality and usually possessing the best cup characteristics.

Best Espresso in Orange County
Until recently I thought it was impossible to find a decent cup of well roasted coffee in Orange County. That all changed for me when I tasted the in-house roasted espresso at The Laguna Coffee Company. The espresso was beautifully roasted, expertly poured, and completely satisfying. It was strong, but not overpowering. Earthy, but never bitter. I felt like I could still taste the rich, creamy, espresso as I left the shop and went about my day. Now I drive all the way from Irvine, foregoing the Starbucks and Coffee Beans that populate my neighborhood.
